1.0.41 is the smallest hotfix in the recent cycle — a single input-binding bug fix — and lands three days after 1.0.38 hotfix. If you rebind healing on a controller, you should no longer hit the floating-bind sync issue.
Version And Date
Version: 1.0.41 Hotfix
Date: 2026-09-07 (NDEV Steam News)
This hotfix follows 1.0.38 hotfix by three days. It bundles exactly one input-binding bug fix — the controller floating-bind sync issue — and one explicit confirmation that keyboard-and-mouse dual-binding for healing and floating is preserved. NDEV did not itemise any other fixes in this patch text.
Bug Fixes
- Controller floating-bind sync — when a player bound healing and floating (air-jump) to separate buttons on a controller, the floating action could not be later rebound. The first rebind of healing silently auto-synced floating to the same button, locking the player out of any subsequent floating rebind. Fixed: rebinding healing no longer auto-syncs floating; the two bindings are independent on controller from this patch forward.
- Keyboard-and-mouse dual-binding preserved — the 1.0.27 hotfix decoupling of healing and floating on keyboard remains in effect. Players using keyboard-and-mouse can continue to bind the two actions to separate inputs without restriction.
Player-Reported Replay Cases (post-1.0.41)
Floating-bind thread continuity
The controller floating-bind bug was reported on the Steam Bug Reports forum in two threads over the preceding two weeks, with consistent repro conditions: bind healing to a non-default button on a controller, then attempt to rebind floating to a separate non-default button — the second rebind would silently revert or refuse to save. The studio’s 1.0.41 patch text confirms the fix.
Wiki editorial note: Treat the 1.0.41 fix as studio-confirmed. If you encounter a fresh repro after updating to 1.0.41 — particularly with non-standard controllers (third-party gamepads, adapters) — capture the binding sequence and post on the community Bug Reports forum; the wiki will track any unresolved edge cases here.
