100% guide - Max's Cabitz and the last monster

Fatal Claw 100% completion gaps: dev-confirmed Max Cabitz after 120 Archive Analyses, and the Elord Castle Evaporator and Destroyer log entries.

100% guide - Max's Cabitz and the last monster discussion artwork from Fatal Claw

A player on the General Discussions board asked NDEV two 100%-completion questions on 2026-10-08: they could not find the last amulet in their grid (it was the final slot of the second row), and they had walked the whole map without finding the last monster entry to fill out the log. NDEV’s account answered both, and the answers cover two systems this wiki had no entry for at all: the vendor Max and the Archive Analysis count behind the final Cabitz, plus the two explosive enemies that most often block the monster log.

What the developer wrote

The reply, marked as a spoiler by the developer, reads in full:

 1.
You can obtain that Cabitz from Max after completing 120 Archive Analyses.
2. As for the last monster, unfortunately, I can’t tell which one you’re missing without knowing which ones you’ve already completed. However, the enemies that players seem to have the most trouble completing are Destroyer and Evaporator, the explosive devices found in Elord Castle. You might want to check those!

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask anytime.

Thank you for playing!

The last amulet: 120 Archive Analyses

This is the part worth writing down, because it is a hard numeric gate that no patch note has ever mentioned. The final Cabitz in the amulet grid is not a drop, a chest, or a vendor unlock tied to a boss. It comes from Max once you have completed 120 Archive Analyses.

Note what this makes Max: our NPC vendor index previously listed Max as an unverified placeholder transcribed from competitor write-ups, with no known role and no confirmed location. A developer reply now confirms Max is a real vendor with a real stock item behind a 120-count progression gate. That moves Max from the unverified half of the index to a confirmed role, even though the location is still unknown — see the honest gaps below.

If your amulet grid is one slot short and the missing entry is in the second row, this is the first thing to check. It is also a long-term goal: 120 analyses is a substantial count, and nothing in the game’s own UI explains where they come from beyond the counter itself.

The last monster: Destroyer and Evaporator

For the log, the developer named the two enemies players most often fail to complete: Destroyer and Evaporator, described as explosive devices found in Elord Castle. Both are hazardous-contact enemies rather than targets you can simply claw down, which is exactly why they slip past players clearing a region quickly.

The Evaporator has a further wrinkle, and this part is player-sourced rather than developer-sourced. A separate thread the same week (Evaporator Archive, Zeons, 2026-10-10) asked why ten Evaporator kills had not moved the Archive counter. The answer, from player Kawalorn, is short and mechanical:

Just detonating them by slapping them with the claw once did the trick for me.

So an Evaporator counts when you detonate it with the claw — it is a self-destructing device, and the kill has to come from your own hit rather than from the explosion resolving on its own timer. If you are backsteping away from Evaporators to avoid the blast, that is precisely the behaviour that leaves the entry unfilled.

Where this leaves the completion checklist

 • Amulet grid — final slot is vendor-gated at 120 Archive Analyses via Max. Not a world drop.
 • Monster log — check Destroyer and Evaporator in Elord Castle first, per the developer.
 • Evaporator kills — land the claw hit yourself to trigger the detonation and register the kill.
 • Cabitz — for loadout planning behind this gate, see Cabitz Builds and Ability System.

For the achievement side of completion rather than collectible grids, the Achievements Guide and Rarest and Hidden Achievements cover the unlock list. For where this kind of question belongs on Steam, see the Q&A thread.

Honest Gaps

 • Where Archive Analyses come from is not documented. The developer confirmed the count and the vendor, but did not say which enemies, archives, or activities raise it. Our wiki will not guess a list.
 • Max’s location is still unknown. The role is now confirmed; the place is not. The NPC vendor index still carries Max as location-unverified for that reason.
 • The full Archive total is unknown. 120 is the gate for this Cabitz. Whether it is the last Analysis or an intermediate one is not stated.
 • Destroyer’s counter behaviour is unconfirmed. Only the Evaporator has a reported detonation requirement. Do not assume Destroyer behaves the same way.
 • “Most trouble” is not a rank. The developer named the two enemies players commonly miss, not a difficulty ordering. Anyone else may still be your missing entry.
 • The Evaporator detonation detail is player-reported and is marked as such throughout. It has not been confirmed in a patch note or by the developer.
